2012 ITC Championship Weekend at Road America: Friday Recap
The Sophomore year for the Intercontinental Trophy Cup Series is rapidly coming to a close this weekend as “the Avitus Group Presents the 2012 ITC Championship Weekend at Road America”.
On Friday, teams took to the track to get valuable track time on the scenic 4 mile, 14-turn raceway winding through the Wisconsin countryside and the weather was typically a crisp, breezy Fall day. On Saturday, ITC will crown two new class champions in P1 and P2 but the fight for the Team Championship will be determined sometime between the two 35-minute sprint races at 3pm and 5:30pm Eastern.
We spoke with MIKE BAVARO, Owner/Driver of Bodymotion, last year’s Team Champion and GEOFF ISRINGHAUSEN, Owner/Driver of Isringhausen Motorsports, sitting just a handful of points behind the leaders. Both teams will have two cars in both P1 and P2 classes so scoring maximum points will be vital.
