“Labor Day Weekend” typically marks the end of the summer in the northern part of the country as temperatures slowly drift into the fall while the leaves turn with the calendar. Boats come out of the lakes and the kids are all back in school…but for CAP HENRY and Team CHR, it marks the final stretch run to the end of the 2012 season.
With just under a dozen All Star dates left on the 2012 racing calendar, half of them roll off in the next two weeks. “The Weekend” starts at Lernerville Speedway tonight, Attica Raceway Park is Saturday and the guys roll into Wayne County Speedway on Sunday. Next weekend, a triple-header at Port Royal on September 7th, 8th and 9th is followed by a double-header at Fremont Speedway September 14th and 15th.
“I am so proud of what these guys have accomplished this season”, says owner KIT HENRY. “I have stayed back in the shop and let these guys prove what they are made of…and they have bounced back time after time to put a great car under Cap when they needed to step up…”
It’s no secret that the team has eyes on competing fulltime in the World of Outlaws next year. Having run a limited schedule, we have seen nights where “the little team from Ohio done good!” said one of Cap’s Twitter followers.
“If we can find the proper funding and we can put the right program together, I know these guys are ready to go for it…and we have some really unique ideas to bring into 2013″, says the elder Henry. Potential partnerships and sponsors are welcome to contact the team at: kit@henrymotorsports.com
Cap stays in 5th in All Star National Points behind TIM SHAFFER, DALE BLANEY and DAVID GRAVEL and is 33 points behind 4th place PAUL McMAHAN.
