Team Owner / Driver Profile: GEOFF ISRINGHAUSEN Isringhausen Motorsports
(Tuesday, September 25, 2012 – Indianapolis) Just about everybody on the planet loves cars and just about every car enthusiast loves a fast car that looks good. GEOFF ISRINGHAUSEN enjoys the best of both worlds having been around the automotive business for over 30 years and now heads a very successful BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz dealership located in the heart of Illinois.
“I’ve been in the car business most of my life and never considered racing until DOUGIE LIVINGSTON shared his vision of the Intercontinental Trophy Cup Series with me”, Geoff said from his office in Springfield, Illinois. “I was always intrigued with racing but never really knew how to approach getting involved…Dougie assured me he had a great plan and that he would help me every step of the way…”
As ITC’s season finale at Road America crowns two new class champions next weekend, the Isringhausen Motorsports Team has a wonderful opportunity to finish 1-2 in the P1 class as well as take the fight to the end as they are in a tight point’s battle for the team championship with MIKE BAVARO’s Bodymotion Team.
The team will also bring a new driver to compete in the P2 class as Geoff’s son, Geoff, Jr., makes his debut while “Dad” introduces a new series presenting sponsor (the Avitus Group) on his brand new Porsche Cayman.
RaceFanRadio’s CHARLIE BROWN spoke with Geoff about the team’s final prep for the season finale including bringing a new car and sponsor to the championship weekend as well as his look into ITC’s future…check it out On-Demand:

Of Note: ITC will launch a new contingency program with the “Fabspeed Dash for Cash” and add enduro racing to the busy weekend schedule. All of this is in addition to the “Forgeline Fastest Qualifier” check for $500.00 awarded to the quickest in both classes and the various programs offered by series partners Hoosier Tires, Sabelt and OG Racing…AND there is more coming!
About ITC:
The Intercontinental Trophy Cup Racing Series (ITC) presented by the Avitus Group is a defined path for new and upcoming talent coming from a variety of disciplines, including karting and club-racing. The series, which races exclusively with Porsche Caymans, began in April 2011 and is the first nationally-touring semi-professional series sanctioned by the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). The ITC provides a structure to assist the enhancement of drivers and teams not only on the track but also off, fostering business partnerships and developing marketing strategies.
